The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has invited online applications from eligible candidates for admission to Medical, Dental and AYUSH courses in Karnataka for 2026-27. Candidates who have not registered for UGCET-2026 can now apply through the UGNEET-2026 new registration link available on the KEA portal.The application facility is open from 2.00 pm on July 17, 2026, to 11.00 am on July 24, 2026. Candidates must complete registration, submit the application and pay the required fees to become eligible for admission to medical, dental and AYUSH courses.Fresh registration facility for candidates who missed CET registrationKEA stated that candidates who have already registered for CET-2026 will receive a link on the KEA website shortly to add their NEET roll number to their existing CET application. Such candidates do not need to submit a fresh registration.The authority has clarified that fresh registrations will not be permitted after the deadline for regular rounds of seat allotment. However, new registrations will be allowed for the Stray Vacancy Round, and the schedule for the process will be announced later.Eligibility and document verification details announcedThe minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the competent authority after the publication of results of the UGNEET-2026 re-examination will apply for admission to Medical, Dental and AYUSH courses. KEA also stated that SC, ST and OBC eligibility criteria will apply only to Karnataka SC, ST and OBC candidates.The categories of candidates required to attend document verification will be notified later. KEA advised applicants to read the UGNEET-2026 Information Bulletin before applying and understand eligibility conditions, seat classifications and requirements for claiming different categories of seats.Instructions for non-Karnataka candidatesNon-Karnataka candidates must register on the KEA web portal, provide their details and pay the registration fee. They must also enter their Class 12 marks details and upload the marks card in PDF format through the Marks Entry web portal. Such candidates do not need to appear for document verification.OCI, PIO, NRI and foreign candidates, along with eligible non-Karnataka candidates seeking NRI Ward, religious minority or specified St. John’s Medical College seats, must book slots and attend document verification at KEA, Bengaluru on scheduled dates.KEA informed candidates that all UGNEET-2026 counselling rounds, including the Stray Vacancy Round, will be conducted online by KEA as per NMC and AYUSH Department instructions.
